Effective January 26, 2023, Mayo Clinic Laboratories will replace test ID TOXOC with test ID TOXCG. This test is used as an aid in the diagnosis of Toxocara infection.

 

Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in an SST (preferred) or red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot 0.5 mL (minimum 0.4 mL) of serum into a plastic vial and freeze (preferred) or refrigerate up to 5 days.
