Effective February 2, 2022, the MLabs Immunology lab will implement a new Syphilis antibody, Treponema pallidum particle agglutination (TPPA) assay.

 

The new Treponema pallidum Antibodies assay (order code TPPA) will replace the Fluorescent Treponemal Antibody FTA-ABS (order code FTAA) assay.  A new group test Treponema pallidum Antibodies and Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) (order code TPRP) will replace Fluorescent Treponemal Antibody and Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) (order code FTA).  There are no changes to the Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) test.
