Effective March 1, 2021 MLabs will be changing the methodology of their trace and toxic metal analysis. Whole Blood Lead (LEAD), Serum Copper (COPP), Serum Zinc (ZINC) and Urine Copper (COPPU) will be performed by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) (previously Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry). Reference ranges, specimen collection, storage, days set up, analytical time and test usage will all remain unchanged.
