Effective October 21, 2020 Michigan Medicine Laboratories (MLabs) will be implementing a change in our policy for notification of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), PCR (COVID) test results.  MLabs currently notifies the referring client of positive COVID PCR test results upon verification.  Effective October 21, 2020, MLabs will make these courtesy call notifications only during MLabs business hours (currently Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 9:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm). Also note that COVID PCR testing is not available STAT.  However, clients may request prioritization or to be notified of results for a specific patient if needed urgently.
