Allergy Testing. The multiallergen IgE antibody test, combined with measurement of IgE in serum, is a very sensitive first-order test for allergic disease.
< 0.35 kU/L. A pooled reagent is used for each panel; a single non-specific result will be reported for each panel.
Collect specimen in an SST or red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage. Panels include the following allergens: House Dust Panel, IgE (DUSTP): Cockroach, House Dust Mites D.F., House Dust Mites D.P., Hollister-Stier Mix; Mold Panel, IgE (MOLDP): Alternaria tenuis, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans, Cladosprorium herbarum, Helminthosprorium halodes, Penicillium notatum; Tree Panel 1, IgE (TREE1): Silver Birch, Box Elder, Elm, Oak, Walnut; Weed Panel 1 (WEED1): English Plantain, Lamb’s Quarters, Mugwort, Ragweed (Short), Russian Thistle; Grass Panel 1 (GRAS1): June KY Blue, Meadow Fescue, Orchard Grass, Rye, Timothy Grass.
