Specimen Requirements


Must be collected at a UH or Taubman draw station due to handling requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect specimen in a green top tube from a fasting patient; place on ice immediately after collection. Transport specimen on ice immediately after draw. Protect specimen from light.

Collection Offsite

Specimen must be drawn at a UH/Taubman drawn station due to requiring spinning in a refrigerated centrifuge immediately.
