Specimen Requirements


Specimens can be collected Monday - Friday only, before 4 pm. Send to Specimen Processing asap. PAXgene tubes must be completely filled using a 21 or 22 gauge needle. If PAXgene tubes are the only tubes to be collected, draw a small amount of blood into a discard tube. Gently mix tubes by inverting 8 - 10 times. If specimens will be received by Transplant Genomics within 48 hrs, they can be maintained at room temp. 48 hrs to <5 days, send refrigerated.
