Test Usage

Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) is a DNA polymerase which is recognized as a phenotypic markers for primitive T and B lymphocytes in the hematopoietic system. Measurement of TdT may be an adjunct to the diagnosis of some leukemias and lymphoblastic lymphomas.

Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

The TdT test will be run at the discretion of the consulting hematopathologist after review of the slides, any available immunophenotypic analysis results, and/or other diagnostic evaluations, using the specimen received for Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping.

Collection Offsite

The TdT test will be run at the discretion of the consulting hematopathologist after review of the slides, any available immunophenotypic analysis results, and/or other diagnostic evaluations, using the specimen received for Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping.
