Test Overview
Colorimetric (Pyrogallol Red)
To aid in the diagnosis of proteinuria, evaluate renal function.
0 - 0.15 g/24 hrs (0-150 mg/24 hrs). Random urine protein/creatinine ratio: 0.01 - 0.18.

Specimen Requirements
Collect 24 hour urine specimen with no preservative. Aliquot 5 mL into a plastic urine container and refrigerate. Record total 24 hour urine volume and collection dates/times on request form. Random urine also acceptable, in which case a protein/creatinine ratio will be reported.
