TUMOR: Fresh frozen specimens are preferred for OncoSeq testing. However, if frozen tissue is not available, a formalin-fixed paraffin block containing greater than 40% tumor (minimum 20%) will be accepted. Send FFPE Block from the most recent surgery or biopsy, containing the most amount of tumor along with H&E stained section of the same block.
NORMAL CONTROL: Collect blood by venipuncture in the following order: two 5 mL SST tubes and one Cell-Free DNA BCT (Streck) tube. Gently invert all tubes 8-10 times. Store refrigerated and ship with cold pack. Blood specimens must be received within 24 hours of collection. Blood is the preferred specimen for Normal Control. However, if blood specimens are not available, saliva may be used. Collect specimen according to the instructions included with the collection kit.
