Negative. A semi-quantitative result will be reported for positive specimens.

Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Please call 5-2330 to preschedule the test with the laboratory. Collect a random urine specimen. Refrigerate immediately and page #0603 for pick-up or freeze if approved for after hours collection. Refrigerated specimens must be received by the MMGL laboratory within 45 minutes of collection. Please write the time of collection on the container if the label is called up in advance in CareLink. Include the patient's family history, clinical condition (asymptomatic or acute), diet, and a list of current medications with the test requisition.

Collection Offsite

Please notify MLabs Client Services Center to schedule testing prior to collecting specimen. Collect a random urine specimen and freeze within 45 minutes of collection. Frozen specimens must be received by the MMGL laboratory Monday - Thursday and within 2 days of collection. Include the patient's family history, clinical condition (asymptomatic or acute), diet, and a list of current medications with the test requisition.
