Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect specimen in royal blue top (trace element) tube with EDTA (K2).

Collection Offsite

Royal blue (trace element) and/or Metal-Free aliquot tubes are available from MLabs (800-862-7284). Collect blood in a royal blue top (trace element) tube with EDTA (K2). Centrifuge and aliquot rbcs into a metal-free tube within 2 hours of collection (KEEP red blood cells). Refrigerate. Plasma can be discarded when aliquotting.
