Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect specimen in a lavender top tube. This test may be requested only by Infectious Disease Service clinicians. All others must obtain prior approval from the Virology Laboratory Director.

Collection Offsite

Collect specimen in a lavender top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot plasma into a screw cap plastic vial and freeze within 6 hours of collection.
