Diagnostic testing for Helicobacter pylori infection in patients suspected to have active H pylori infection or for monitoring response to therapy

Specimen Requirements
Collect breath samples from a fasting patient using a Meretek UBT Breath Test Specimen Collect Kit. Specimens from patients 3-17 years old must be accompanied by an information card for proper result calculation. Please see https://www.breathtekhcp.com/sites/g/files/qhldwo456/files/pdf_hcp/pedi… for a copy of the information card. Specimens will not be accepted for patients <3 years old.
Collect breath samples from a fasting patient using the Meretek UBT Breath Test Specimen Collection Kit. The Pranactin drug solution must be taken orally as part of the diagnostic procedure. Patients should not have taken antimicrobials, omeprazole, or bismuth preparations within 2 weeks prior to administering this test. Specimens from patients 3-17 years old must be accompanied by an information card for proper result calculation.
