Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect blood in a red top or SST tube from a fasting patient (patient should be on a stable diet for 2 weeks and should fast for at least 12 hours prior to specimen collection).

Collection Offsite

Collect blood in a red top or SST tube from a fasting patient (patient should be on a stable diet for 2 weeks and should fast for at least 12 hours prior to specimen collection). Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial and freeze.
