Test Usage

Monitor cyclosporin levels in blood to prevent toxicity and maintain proper therapeutic dosage.

Reference Range

Therapeutic range: 50 - 400 ng/mL.

Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect a trough specimen (draw immediately prior to next dose) in a lavender top tube. Green top tube is also acceptable. Mix collection tube gently by inversion to prevent clotting.

Collection Offsite

Collect a trough specimen (draw immediately prior to next dose) in a lavender top tube. Mix collection tube gently by inversion to prevent clotting. Send intact specimen; do NOT centrifuge. Store intact whole blood refrigerated or at room temperature.
