Specimen Requirements

Collection

A primary Immunodeficiencies Patient information sheet must be included. Collect specimen in an EDTA lavendar top tube. Maintain as whole blood and send to Specimen Processing ambient. Bloodspot cards- allow to dry for 3 hours before sending. Cell pellets and DNA must be sent frozen.

Normal Volume
5mL whole blood, 5 blood spots, cell pellet, 4 mm punch, 100 mcL
Minimum Volume
blood 1 mL, all others same as normal volume
