Collect specimen in a green top tube from a fasting patient (8 hour fast). Place on wet ice immediately. Centrifuge, aliquot plasma into a plastic tube and freeze or deliver to Specimen Processing within 2 hours of collection. (Must be processed and frozen within 3 hours)
