Specimen Requirements
Specimen preferred to be spun, aliquoted and frozen within 1 hour. Per Esoterix, the specimen can sit up to 7 hours before being spun. But no longer.
Collect specimen in a red top tube; do not use SST tube. Deliver to Specimen Processing within 1 hour of collection.
Collect specimen in a red top tube; do not use SST tube. Centrifuge, aliquot serum into a plastic vial within 1 hour of collection and freeze. Per Esoterix, specimen can wait up to 7 hours before being spun, but no longer
