Test Usage

Serology testing for DDD and C3GN. This test is a panel of: CH50eq, APFA, Hemolytic Assay, FHAA, FBAA, Nephritic Factors (Nef Activity assay- IFE, C3Nef-C3CSA, C5-Nef-C3CSAP, C4Nef), C3, C3c, C4, FB, Ba, Bb, C5, Properdin, soluble C5b-9, FI and FH levels

Specimen Requirements

Collection

Collect BOTH a red top tube AND an EDTA lav top tube. Spin and aliquot into a screw capped plastic tubes. Be sure to label aliquots as SERUM or PLASMA. (testing will be canceled if this is not done) If offsite, freeze samples and send to Specimen Processing.

Normal Volume
3 mL serum AND 3 mL EDTA plasma
Minimum Volume
2 mL serum AND 2 mL EDTA plasma
