Specimen Requirements

Collection Onsite

Collect specimen in a green top tube. Send intact specimen to laboratory within 1 hour or centrifuge, aliquot plasma into a plastic vial, and freeze within 4 hours of collection. Sites without the ability to centrifuge samples should contact the laboratory at 734-615-2330 for approval and additional instructions.

Collection Offsite

Collect specimen in a green top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot plasma into a plastic vial, and freeze within 4 hours of collection.
