Test Overview
Spectrophotometry/absorbance based enzyme-coupled kinetic reaction.
Used to monitor Asparaginase therapy for sufficient enzyme activity, to assess silent inactivation by patient sensitization. Only experienced physicians treating patients with asparaginase should interpret whether the asparaginase activiy level is adequate. There are no established treatment guidelines. The decision to modify the asparaginase treatment to achieve a target level must be made by the physician.
