Mayo Clinic Laboratories will discontinue offering their M-Protein Isotype assay effective February 22, 2024. The Monoclonal Gammopathy Evaluation (order code MGE2) is recommended for aiding in the diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathies. The Bence Jones Protein Screen, Urine (order code BJS) is recommended if light chain disease is part of the differential diagnosis.
