The Michigan Medicine Laboratories HLA Laboratory will update the above order codes as noted effective November 28, 2023. The purpose of this change is to allow discrete data reporting in our MiChart EMR that can be trended by transplant physicians. This will improve transplant physicians’ ability to identify potential donors and organ transplant rejection sooner as they will no longer have to review results through the more difficult to interpret text-based reports.
