Mayo Clinic Laboratories will begin offering a Cysticercosis (Taenia solium), IgG, Serum by ELISA assay effective June 22, 2023.  This test will replace Mayo test ID CYSTS (order code CYSTS) which has been down due to reagent unavailability and Mayo test ID FCYAI (order code FCYAI) performed by ARUP Laboratories.

 

Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in an SST (preferred) or red top tube.  Centrifuge, aliquot 0.5 mL (minimum 0.4 mL) of serum into a plastic vial, and refrigerate.
