Effective January 26, 2023, Mayo Clinic Laboratories will replace test ID STRIC with test ID TRCNG. This test is used as an adjunct in the diagnosis of trichinosis.

 

Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in an SST (preferred) or red top tube. Centrifuge, aliquot 0.5 mL (minimum 0.4 mL) of serum into a plastic vial and freeze (preferred) or refrigerate up to 5 days.

 

Reference Range: Negative
