Michigan Medicine Laboratories Special Chemistry Laboratory will begin performing Tryptase, Serum, effective February 22, 2022. This test will replace Mayo Clinic Laboratories TRYPT (order code TRYPT).

 

Collection Instructions: Collect specimen in an SST tube. Aliquot 0.5 mL (minimum 0.2 mL) of serum into a plastic vial and refrigerate.

Test Methodology: Fluorescence enzyme immunoassay (FEIA)

 

Reference Range: <11.5 ng/mL
