Interleukin - 18

Referral Laboratory:                Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital

 

Effective May 20, 2020, MLabs will offer Interleukin - 18 (CIL18) testing via Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital.

 

Collection Instructions: Collect approximately 1 mL of whole blood in a red or gold top vacutainer. Centrifuge and aliquot the serum into two plastic vials with a minimum volume of 0.3 mL in each. Ship the specimen frozen.  

 

Methodology: Enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)

 

Analytic Time: performed every 2 weeks
